Model Portfolio Services ...

We have been delighted with the response and demand for model portfolio services.  We offer collaborative work to assist aspiring models (or those that simply want to look like aspiring models) develop their portfolio of images (print or electronic media).  We have over three years of experience in working with beginning, intermediate and experienced models in our studio.  Image themes include:

We are a small studio located in Champaign Urbana (home of the University of Illinois), central to the state of Illinois – but within reasonable travel from Chicago, St. Louis, and Indy etc – several models have found the drive from WI to be well worth the time!  Obviously the closer you are the more flexible we can be with you in establishing a schedule to shoot.  Most of our work is primarily at my studio in east Urbana, but the possibility of some location work exists as well. 

All of our work is by appointment, most is on evenings and weekend times; we are operating the studio as a developing business, as we explore other areas of photography and approach retirement.  Our philosophy is to shoot powerful, edgy material that both the model and photographer are comfortable with pursuing, we are wanting to expand our work into some new areas and are looking for experienced models that are available to work with us to get the new portfolio of work established – while interesting and pleasing images can be accomplished on the first session, we have found that the most powerful images are created after establishing a rapport and some time working together. 

We strongly encourage models to travel with a friend or companion, and are always okay with someone attending the session with you, they can help in adjusting clothes and makeup –  I will likely ask my wife of 23 years to be present as we begin our work – everyone should be comfortable; any models under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.  For your safety, our studio is located in a small neighborhood mall – well lighted, clean and in a safe neighborhood; heck we even have a state senators office, a bank, Walgreen’s, McDonalds and Baskin Robins 100 yards from the front door!!

Let us know what your wildest dreams and ideas involve, we would be delighted to discuss them with you – our rates for studio time are the best in Illinois, we offer competitive rates for digital workflow and retouching, can arrange for high quality, archival prints at any size you desire and have an experienced makeup artist / hairdresser available upon request.  A significant discount is available for those who are looking to collaborate on a specific project or multiple shoots.  For those of you beginning to work with us proposing TFP work, a phone conversation and completed model release in advance of the session are required.  When contacting us, please include your OMP or Muse Cube ID number, your full name and a phone number with the best time of day to try to contact you.
